Finding her Zen

Here's a picture of Olive participating in one of her favourite activities. She sits on the balcony, listening to the world below her and watching for squirrels or birds in the trees. Sometimes a fly will distract her or she'll feel it's time to get plant material off the balcony with her tongue, but usually she just sits there.

Hi, sorry for the long absence. Just a quick update: I've added a few photo's to Olive's 6 month album. In the next few days I hope to add some photo's to Olive's 7 month album, some pictures and a post from our trip to Alberta and some pictures from our hike two weekends ago at Mount Si with Justin and Melissa.

Hiding in an Open Space

This morning Tim saw a spider. He said it was, and I quote, "the biggest spider [he] has ever seen inside,""the size of a dock spider except not as skinny."

*shudders*

He squished it, but how do I know there aren't more?

He thinks it might have come from the fireplace or the wood basket. I think it might have come in under our front door.

At any rate, there is a large portion of our apartment that I am currently avoiding.

Olive's Favourite Game

This is a picture of Olive, caught in the act of violating Lindsay's privacy in the shower. Her favourite game is to stick her nose into the shower and snap at the water that sprays her in the face. It would be fun, except for the blast of cold air that hits your leg every time she does it. Sometimes spray isn't enough so we dump hand-fulls of water on her instead. That's what she gets for being a peeping dog.

We Passed!!

We passed our driving tests. We were only planning on doing our written test today, but they told us the earliest we could get an appointment for the driving test was June 20. Instead, they were willing to take us on standby right away. So we did the driving test in the Neon... and prayed the whole time that the speedometer would keep working :)
