I called the front office to see if anyone had the cat on their lease in this building or a building nearby, but they said there were no orange cats listed in the area. After that I called Olive's veterinary office, Brookfield. They said we could bring him in and they would scan him for a microchip - unfortunately he didn't have one. The staff recommended a place we could take him, but when they called the place was already closed. Brookfield was kind enough to give us a bag of food and some kitty litter so we could keep him overnight. When I got home, Olive and I put up signs around the apartment complex in hopes that his owner would see them.Just a couple hours later there was a knock at our door. The girl from upstairs was wondering if I'd seen her cat, he'd escaped and wasn't used to being outside. She was so happy to have Noogie back.
